TRE is a type of neurogenic tremoring, which is a natural mechanism built into our bodies to release trauma and chronic stress. We provide one-on-one coaching and small groups.

PTSD and CPTSD can create very difficult symptoms to deal with on a daily basis. Eating disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, affect dysregulation, fatigue, and even chronic illness can result from trauma. As a fellow trauma survivor, I've learned how to manage symptoms through a variety of somatic modalities that can be done on our own. If you have a trauma specialist or therapist you work with, this is an excellent adjunct to that therapy. Post traumatic stress coaching is NOT a replacement for psychotherapy, but it can fill in the blanks for a complete healing protocol. Where trauma is concerned, a bottom up approach has been proven to work best (first body, then brain). If you haven't read it already, please read "The Body Keeps the Score" by Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk to get started.
The Somatic Experiencing approach facilitates the completion of self-protective motor responses and the release of thwarted survival energy bound in the body, thus addressing the root cause of trauma symptoms. This is approached by gently guiding clients to develop increasing tolerance for difficult bodily sensations and suppressed emotions.
Tonya has had a passion for childbirth and infant care long before she gave birth to her own children. In 2007, she expanded her yoga knowledge to include prenatal and postpartum yoga. She has worked with hundreds of pregnant and new mothers while employed as a yoga teacher at Isis Parenting and helped develop trainings for other teachers.

WHAT IS THAI BROCADE?
Thai Brocade is a blend of three (3) interwoven Sacred Body modalities:
Thai Massage / Nuad Thai Boran from traditional Thai medicine - a whole Body approach (TTM)
Tibetan Dzogchen’s Kum Nye practices (like passive yogurt for meditation, de-stress sequence)
Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST), a process of long holds and “listening to the bones.”
The primary purpose of the work in this mode for many of my clients is to support natural movement, find deep rest, support trauma recovery work, and for support during transformation processes, pivot points, and life transitions.
I work with trauma workers, emergency personnel, yogis, dancers, aerialists, Uber athletes (including 100-milers, equestrians, triathletes), veterans, survivors, and more.
The Thai Brocade Experience
These are customized bodywork & Subtle Body support sessions to help initiate the Body’s innate restoration sequence, release the deep line of tension that creates “holding” and resistance in the body, and a heavy compression of major muscle groups and decompression of joints which leaves clients “moving in fluid, spacious ease” or “feel like walking on clouds for 72-hours.”

We offer corporate yoga classes as well as workshops in mindfulness, meditation, self-care, and mindfulness-based art. These are great for teaching the basic tenets of self-care and self-fulfillment. Workshops can be 1-3 hrs, depending on your needs. Contact us for a quote.
